Vehicle Accident with Entrapment

On Sunday evening at 7:41 pm, Sykesville Fire and Rescue units were dispatched to a vehicle collision with rescue on Liberty Road at the County Line.

First arriving units located the accident on Liberty Road in between the two bridges. Units also advised that they had one vehicle off the road way and into the woods. As the vehicle was assessed it was determined that three patients were trapped in the car. It was also determined that aviation was needed for all three patients.

Rescue Squad 12 arrived and went to work stabilizing the vehicle and removing the roof of the vehicle so that the patients could be accessed and removed.

Additional crews arrived and assisted with patient extrication and removal of the patients from the woods using ladders and ropes.
