Yesterday afternoon Engine 123, Engine 124, Brush 125, ATV 12, and Duty 12 responded to Holbrook Road in Baltimore County to assist on a large woods fire.
As units arrived they were deployed to the surrounding area to try and put a stop on the fast moving fire. Windy conditions made it very difficult for fire department units to get ahead of the fire.
The fire burned approximately 15 acres and came dangerously close to several homes. The fire was finally brought under control just before nightfall. Crews remained on the scene for several hours to make sure all hot spots had been extinguished.
