Sykesville firefighters, assisted by West Friendship, extinguished a brush fire in the area of Arrington Road and Marriottsville Road #2.

Arriving firefighters found a large area of brush burning up the hill away from the road. West Friendship was requested to respond with an additional engine and brush truck.

Crews had the fire under control in under 45 minutes. There were no injuries.
