This morning Sykesville Units responded to the intersection of Liberty Road and Johnsville Road for a reported vehicle collision with entrapment. Units arrived on the scene to find a two vehicle accident with one patient trapped in a car that was on its side.

The crew from Rescue Squad 12 went to work stabilizing the vehicle to make sure that it wouldn't move while crews were working on removing the patient. The crews used hydraulic rescue tools to gain access into the passenger compartment of the vehicle so that the patient could safely be removed.

The patient was removed from the vehicle and handed over to waiting EMS crews for transport.
