On Friday evening just after 11:30 PM, Engine 123, Tower 12, and Howard Engine 31 responded to the 6700 Block of Whispering Falls Drive in Sykesville for a reported fire out.

Engine 123 arrived on the scene and advised that there had been a fire on the front porch that appeared to have been extinguished. The crew from Engine 123 and Tower 12 opened up a portion of the front wall to check for further fire extension. The fire was contained to a portion of the front porch wall. Units operated on the scene for about 45 minutes before returning to the station.
