Yesterday afternoon Sykesville Fire units responded to 1070 Henryton Road in Marriottsville to assist Howard County units with a large woods fire.

Brush 125, ATV 12, and Engine 124 arrived on the scene and were quickly deployed to several locations to start extinguishing and containing the fire. Crews worked for several hours trying to stop the fire from spreading. Once the fire was contained crews were able to extinguish all spots and return to service.
