Yesterday just after lunch Sykesville and surrounding mutual aid departments were dispatched to the 1700 Block of Keel Drive in Eldersburg for a reported house on fire.
Engine 123 arrived on scene and found a two story wood frame residential structure with smoke coming from the roof. Crews went to work advancing an attack line to the 2nd floor of the home. Crews found fire on the roof involving the solar panels. The fire was extinguished and some minor fire extension was found in the attic area of the home.
The fire was contained to the roof area of the home.
