A fisherman trying to offload his boat at the Liberty Reservoir, Sunday July 8, accidentally had let his foot off the brake, sending his truck into the water.

The Gamber and Community Fire Department, coincidentally, was conducting water rescue and dive training nearby and quickly responded to the scene. Sykesville's Rescue Squad 12 and Paramedic 128 were also called to the scene.

The divers from Gamber were able to secure the pickup truck with a tow cable, and the vehicle was pulled from the water safely. There were no injuries.
