Around 4:00pm this date units from Sykesville, Gamber and the Carroll County Hazmat Team were dispatched to the area of Jay Road and Benjamins Court Box Area 12-24 for the report of an electrical box struck by a tractor and was leaking fluids. First arriving unit found an electrical box leaking fluid from the side.

Sykesville crews contained the fluid from spreading any further. The hazmat team and members arrived and obtained a sample and determine that the substance was not hazardous.

BGE arrived on the scene and advised that the fluid leaking from the electrical box was environmentally safe and they would handle the clean-up.
