Vehicle Crash Ties Up Evening Rush

A vehicle crash snarled evening rush hour traffic at the intersection of Route 26 and Johnsville Rd.

Firefighters and Paramedics were called to the scene of a two vehicle accident that left two people hospitalized this evening. A female driver was sent to Shock Trauma via Maryland State Police helicopter, and a second driver was sent to a local hospital.

Traffic was shut down on Route 26 as well as Johnsville Rd while crews worked to treat patients as well as for the helicopter that was called to the scene.

Maryland State Police are investigating and patient conditions are unknown at this time.
