| Hurricane Sandy made for a busy afternoon and evening in the Sykesville-Eldersburg area. Several homes sustained major damage due to high winds and trees falling. Crews were out all evening clearing roads of downed trees, and assessing water levels along the Patapsco River where there was flooding of the river onto roads in Marriotsville, and Gaither. Early in the evening a serious crash occured on Route 32 near Sprinfield Ave where miraculously no serious injuries were involved. |
