This evening Sykesville Fire and Rescue Units were dispatched for a house fire in the 1700 block of Georgia Avenue in Gamber. First arriving Engine 131 arrived on the scene to find a working house fire. Sykesville crews arrived and assisted with fire extinguishment and ventilation. The fire was contained to a room on the back of the house. Crews operated on the scene for about one hour before clearing.
