Shortly before noon today Sykesville Fire Units along with Mutual Aid Units responded to the Royal Farms Store in Eldersburg for reported smoke in a utility closet. Engine 123 arrived on the scene to find nothing evident from the exterior. The crew of Engine 123 were shown to a utility closet inside the store by store employees that had noticed smoke.

The crew from Engine 123 found that the smoke was coming from the carbonation machine located inside the utility closet. The carbonation machine was unplugged and crews found no fire extension beyond the machine.

Crews turned the store back over to the employees and cleared the scene.
