This afternoon Sykesville Fire and Rescue Units responded to Route 26 and West Hemlock Drive in Eldersburg for a vehicle collision with entrapment. Crews arrived on the scene to find one vehicle on its side and one subject trapped. The crew from Rescue Squad 12 went to work stabilizing the vehicle so that crews could remove the roof to access and remove the subject.

Engine 124 arrived and the crew pulled an attack line to protect the subject trapped in the car and crews working to extricate the subject.

The subject was removed from the vehicle and placed into the ambulance. The ambulance then transported to the landing site, where Trooper 1 was waiting to transport the patient to a Trauma Center in Baltimore.
