This morning Sykesville Fire and Rescue Units responded to Bartholow Road and Gibbons Road for a vehicle into a telephone pole. Units arrived on the scene and found one vehicle into a telephone pole with one subject trapped.

The crew from Rescue Squad 12 went to work stabilizing the vehicle while the Medic crew started patient care on the injured subjects. A helicopter was requested but was down do to the storms in the area. The crew from Rescue Squad 12 utilized hydraulic rescue tools to remove the roof, door, and to move the dash so that the subject could be removed from the vehicle.

Two subjects from the accident were transported to trauma centers in Baltimore.
