Working House Fire

On Friday morning units from Carroll, Howard, and Baltimore Counties responded to a report of house fire in the 2100 Block of Harvest Farm Road in Eldersburg. Engine 123 went responding and was advised that a Firefighter was on the scene reporting a working fire and requesting the second alarm assingment.

Engine 123 arrived on the secne to find a single story wood frame dwelling with smoke and fire showing from the rear of the house. The crew from Engine 123 and Medic 139 strecthed an attack line through the front door of the home and begin to attack the fire. Additional crews arrived and begin primary and secondary searchs of the interior of the home. As more crews arrived additional lines were pulled and assisted with fire extinguishment as well as perfoming overhaul and ventilation.

Crews were able to extinguish the fire, but the house suffered heavy damage to the rear porch and roof area.

State Fire Marshal's were on the scene investigating the cause of the fire.
