House Fire

On June 1, 2015, at 2:25 AM, Engine 124 and Engine 123 responded along with Gamber Fire Department and other surrounding Departments for a reported house stuck by lightning and on fire in the 3900 Block of Louisville Road.

First arriving Engine 134 reported fire showing from the attic and roof area of a two story farm house. Engine 134 and Engine 124 proceeded back the farm land and initiate an exterior attack on the fire. Crews from Engine 134 and Engine 124 then advanced into the house to the second floor and the attic area and began to extinguish the fire.

Additional crews arrived and assisted with placing ladders on all four sides of the house, lights, and overhaul. Crews worked throughout the morning conducting overhaul and extinguishing hot spots.
