Sykesville Assists Reese At House Fire

Sykesville firefighters assisted at the scene of a house fire on Thursday afternoon, 3/24, in the Reese area of Carroll County.

Engine 124 and crew were dispatched at approximately 2:25 PM, for a reported garage on fire in the 2100 block of Green Mill Road. When crews arrived on the scene, they found a fully involved garage attached to the house. The fire was extending into the house and to some nearby brush. Extra units were brought into the scene.

Engine 124 provided water to an engine from Reisterstown, while the engine's crew stood by to assist. The fire was brought under control after a short time.

No one was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
