The Sykesville-Freedom District Fire Department is saddened to report the death of long time member Les Paull, Jr.

Les died on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Carroll Hospital Center after an illness. He was 78 years old.

Les was a retired captain in the Baltimore County Fire Department, overseeing the department's fire prevention efforts.

Les was a long time member of the SFDFD, including service for many years on the department's board of directors.

Les will be remembered for his leadership, knowledge and his kindness. He is survived by his wife, Christine, two children and four grandchildren.

Funeral services are being held Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 11AM at Haight Funeral Home and Chapel in Sykesville. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Park. The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Sykesville-Freedom District Fire Department.
