Vacant House Destroyed By Fire In Sykesville

0345 hrs Company 12 and surrounding stations were alerted to a house fire in the 6900 blk of Slacks road near the 2nd Chance Farm. Duty 12 arrived on the scene and reported a vacant house well involved in fire. E123 arrived and began protecting the exposure buildings to the rear of the vacant house. E124 laid a supply line from small stream 600 feet from the fire. E141 drafted from the stream supplying the units fighting the fire. Once a water supply was established Tower 12 set up and began flowing water through the ladder pipe. The fire was contained to the vacant house and deemed under control in 30 min.

There were no injuries and crews were packed up within 3 hours.
