The Sykesville-Freedom District Fire Department is pleased to welcome one and all to the 2021 annual carnival on the fire department grounds, June 12-19. Grounds open at 6PM each evening for food, and 7PM for rides.

"It's another sign of things returning to normal following the pandemic," said SFDFD president Kevin Shiloh. "And it's great to be able to open up to the public as a way of thanking them for their support over the past year," he said.

The midway will once again feature rides and attractions by longtime partner Shaw and Sons Amusements, along with all of the great food and raffle stands visitors have enjoyed for years on the grounds.

Ride-All-Night wristband specials will be on Tuesday 6/15, Wednesday 6/16 and Thursday, 6/17 for $20 per wristband. All other nights, the wristband price will be $25.

The food stands are back, including the popular pit beef stand, which will also offer turkey and ham, sausages, hot dogs, hamburgers and cheesesteaks. The popular funnel cake and pizza stands will return, as will the Lions' french fries booth, plus drinks and treats from the junior firefighters. And don't forget the Hoffman's ice cream!

As always, there will be the big money ticket giveaway, with a $1,000 grand prize; and plenty of other raffles and prizes.

There will be live music each evening with some of the best and most popular local bands in the area.
