Around 10 pm on 12/1 box alarm 3-16 was dispatched for a reported basement fire. Tower 12 and Chief 12 were dispatched to assist. Initial arriving units found smoke showing from the garage and a fire in the basement. Tower 12 was initially assigned to search the first floor. Later in the incident the tower assisted with ventilation and overhaul. Chief 12 helped command with running the incident. Tower and Chief 12 operated for about 3.5 hours before returning to service.
