Around 1030 on the morning of 12/23 your Sykesville Volunteer Fire Department was alerted for a possible stove fire. Engine 123 and Tower 12 responded along with Engine 141 from Winfield. Upon arrival crews found a grease fire on top of the stove with a sprinkler activation. Crews extinguished the fire and checked for extension. After verifying the fire was out crews assisted with removing smoke from the first and second floor.
