Sykesville Assists Gamber On House Fire, "Mayday" Declared |

Shortly after 5 a.m. on Wednesday 11/15, Sykesville’s Engine 124, Tower 12 and Medic 128 responded to assist Gamber & Community Fire Company on the house fire in the 3900 block of Robin Hood Way. The occupants of the home were able to get out safely. The Maryland State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire. A total of 10 Sykesville volunteers responded to the fire, along with Carroll County Department of Fire and EMS of Maryland staffing out of Station 12. The incident is another example of how the Sykesville-Freedom District Fire Department relies on its volunteers to carry out its mission of protecting the community.
