On Tuesday morning just as the snow started Rescue Squad 12 responded with Winfield Fire Department to Route 97 just North of Liberty road for a vehicle accident with reports of entrapment. Units arrived on the scene and found a two vehicle accident with one occupant trapped. The crew from Rescue Squad 12 arrived and went to work stabilizing the vehicle. After stabilizing the vehicle the Medic crew after further assessment advised that the occupant of the vehicle was deceased. Rescue squad 12 returned to service and Winfield units remained on the scene assisting police.
