Approximately 1:00 pm today Firefighters and Paramedics were called to the scene of a serious accident located at the intersection of Johnsville Rd and Piney Ridge Parkway.
On arrival units reported a 2 vehicle accident and one male patient that had been ejected from a jeep. Paramedics began working on the male patient and a helicopter was requested due to the severity of his injuries. Soon after the patient was transported to Carroll Hospital Center by Sykesville Paramedics due to the seriousness of the injuries he had sustained.
Firefighters remained on the scene for some time assisting Carroll County Sheriffs Office with the investigation.
We would like to encurage everyone to please use caution and slow down when approaching this intersection. There have been numerous accidents that have occured and we would like to not see you unless they are for good circumstances.
