Co. 12 was alerted for a brush fire in the 5600blk of Bartholow Rd. Because of the high winds, E124, B125 and Duty 12 quickly responded. Capt. 12-1 arrived on the scene and reported 3 cars and a large amount of debris on fire. Duty 12 arrived a took command. E124 secured a water supply and the crew advanced an attack line and began extinguishing the fire. B125 positioned in the driveway next to the fire and began protecting exposures. All fire was controlled and extinguished within 15 min. Command called for the Maryland State Fire Marshal to investigate the cause of the fire. There were no injuries, but sadly 2 dogs were unable to escape their cage and perished. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
