Just prior to 8pm units from Sykesville Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched for a fire at the Bullpen restaurant located at the intersection of W. Liberty Rd. and Klee Mill Rd. Chief 12 arrived on the scene and reported fire through the roof. Tower 12 and E142 arrived as the roof collapsed. Chief 12 ordered crews to mount a defensive attack. The incoming units had to shut down Liberty road in order to lay over a 1/4 mile of hose to the closest hydrant. This task was achieved in less than 10 min. Once a water supply was established Chief 12 ordered Tower 12 to begin flowing water. The fire was deemed under control in 45 min.

There were no injuries.
