Man hit by train

Firefighters, Paramedics and Police were sent to the railroad tracks between Main St and Gaither Rd around 9:30 p.m. last night.

After meeting with the engineer of the train, personnel on foot long with ATV 12 started searching along the tracks for a male subject that was hit. After a short search, a male patient was located and pronounced dead at the scene by Paramedics.

Units were held for a lengthy time assisting the police with lights and transport via ATV12. Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
