Sykesvillefire.org Celebrates First Anniversary

The official website of the Sykesville Freedom District Fire Department turns one year old today, August 16, 2005!

In the past 12 months, over 34,000 people have visited our website to learn more about us and the services we provide to the community.

We wish to thank those of you who have visited the site, and we hope you'll come here often to find out what's going on.

The site has grown in the past year, with more features to come. We will soon feature monthly emergency response statistics on the site. Also on the way, features on our paid employees and our volunteers, and a monthly departmental financial report.

We will also continue to keep visitors updated on department news and provide timely reports of the incidents we respond to.

As departmental webmaster, I want to thank the many people who have given their time to help make the site a success. A special thanks to Ron Raley at Firehouse Solutions, who has hosted our site since the beginning. We are very pleased to continue our association with Firehouse Solutions into year number two, and hopefully beyond.

Thanks for visiting sykesvillefire.org, and be safe!
